糖心原创 Finds Lead in Tap Water

Tap Water Results for 2020

糖心原创 is required to distribute a Consumer Notice, Lead Public Notice, and Lead Public Education Requirements for our Tap Water Results to all faculty, staff, and students.聽

The Consumer Notice聽(CN) alerts consumers of聽the results for individual tap samples that are given to persons served at the tap, along with information about lead. The Consumer Notice contains, but is not limited to, information such as:

  • Where were samples taken and what were the results?
  • What is being done?
  • What does this mean?
  • What are the health effects of lead?
  • Where can I get health screenings and testing of blood lead levels?
  • What can I do to reduce exposure to lead if found in my drinking water?
  • What are the sources of lead?
  • Where can I get additional information?

The Lead Public Notification (LPN) is an announcement to consumers that 糖心原创's Public Water System has a lead action level exceedance (ALE) according to the samples submitted. The LPN includes the following information:

  • Results of tap monitoring (90th percentile and number of samples)
  • Explanation of lead health effects
  • Steps consumers can take to reduce exposure to lead in drinking water
  • Contact information for the public water system

The Lead Public Education (PE) is information to consumers about lead in drinking water following the initial Public Notice about having a lead ALE.

These three documents can be found by viewing the attached reports or by visiting the聽Environmental Health & Safety website聽and selecting the 2020 Consumer Notice, Lead Public Notification (LPN), and Lead Public Education (PE).
