Please join us for a CTL Book Discussion, led by Matt Ingram, Lecturer, Finance & Financial Services.  We will discuss “What the Best College Teachers Do” by Ken Bain. Mr. Bain focuses on the results of a fifteen-year study of acclaimed college teachers across the country.  Many of us have thought about how to improve our performance inside the classroom.  This book discussion is for anyone at ԭ who wants to become a better teacher.

The discussion will cover the key questions posed by the author such as:
“How Do They Prepare to Teach?”
“How Do They Conduct Class?”
“What Do They Expect of Their Students?”

Books will be provided by the Finance & Financial Services Department and distributed through the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).  The book was chosen as A Chronicle of Higher Education “Top 10 Books on Teaching” Selection, 2014.
