This spring break, trade the tourist traps for towering cypress trees, crystal-clear coastal waters, and gator-filled swamps. Join us for an epic Everglades adventure鈥攁 one-of-a-kind trip where you鈥檒l camp under the stars, snorkel in the ocean, and get up close with the raw, untamed beauty of Florida鈥檚 wildest ecosystem. 听
Stroll along the Anhinga Trail boardwalk viewing herons, turtles, alligators, and听anhingas; Feel the wind in your hair as you speed across the River of Grass on an airboat ride鈥攁nd spot gators, birds, and maybe a python or two (from a safe distance, of course); Snorkel & explore the vibrant marine life of Florida鈥檚 nearby ocean coast; Wade through a magical world of towering trees, clear water, and hidden wildlife on the Cypress Swamp Walk; Kayak in local rivers; And after the day鈥檚 adventure, kick back around the fire with your crew, stargaze, and fall asleep to the sounds of the Everglades. 听
Cost: $499, $100 deposit required to register with remaining balance due one month before trip departure听
Cost Includes: ORC trip leaders, all camping equipment, meals on location, entrance into national park, kayaking equipment, airboat ride, all permits, camping fees, and transportation from WSU in 12-passenger van.听听听
Activity Level: Beginner - Advanced. Participants do not need prior paddling experience, but must be physically fit and comfortable in water.听
Physical Challenge Scale: Level 2, this trip is moderate.听
Remoteness Scale: Level 1, this is a front country trip.听
