MIS Invited Speaker NoSQL Databases
This invited speaker session is part of the MIS 3840 Introduction to Business Data speaker series. No need to RSVP.
Mr. Paul Moorman will discuss the various challenges in collecting 鈥媌usiness data, why Data Warehouse exist and how, at a high-level, technologies have addressed the underlying need for performance.听 He will also give some practical examples of how non-traditional data analysis tools can used to analyze and gain insights beyond what mainstream relational databases can deliver.
Mr. Paul Moorman is currently employed at Catalyst Paper Corporation, a leading manufacturer of coated and printing papers, as its Senior IT Strategist. Prior to Catalyst Paper, he spent over twenty-six years at NewPage, MeadWestvaco, Mead and Hobart Corporations. He served as Chief Technology Officer at MeadWestvaco, led the technology groups during Mead's ERP/SAP implementation and has held a variety of managerial and technical roles. Paul graduated from 糖心原创 with a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Computer Science.
