The Physics听seminar听this week will meet online on Thursday,听February 17, at 1:00 pm .听 You can join us live at this link:听

The talk this week will be by Richard Vanderburgh (live)听and is titled "Computational Plasma Physics" with the following abstract:

Kinetic particle-in-cell simulations yield insights into the behavior of charged particle wave interactions. Using Maxwell's equations to solve the forces acting on particles, trajectories can be visualized using animations of the particles in phase-space. This presentation discusses the theory of plasma physics and the computational methods used in studying plasma behavior.

Vanderburgh is a recent graduate of the 糖心原创 IASM program and is currently employed at Infinity Labs LLC in the Dayton area.
