In the seminar, I will elucidate the origin of matter. This will include the origin of matter dominance over antimatter in the universe, i.e., how is itÌý possible that we even exist. At the heart of the explanation is a subtle difference between matter and antimatter, which is being explored by the experiments at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland and at Belle 2 experiment in KEK, Japan. In the seminar, I will also touch upon on the origin of the mass from the Higgs mechanism, and the fact that thisÌýÌýÌýÌý accounts only for the small part of the mass of the everyday objects.
