糖心原创 Physicians Orthopaedics will offer an educational session, 鈥淣o Bones 糖心原创 It: Minimizing the Impact of Age Related Decline in Bone Health,鈥� on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m., in classroom 1 on the second floor of the 糖心原创 Physicians Health Center (725 University Blvd.) on the campus of 糖心原创. The session is free and open to the public.
The speaker is Iva Staats, a physical therapist with 糖心原创 Physicians Orthopaedics. She will speak about osteopenia and osteoporosis; the role of weight bearing exercise in maintaining bone density; calcium and supplements for healthy bones; and fall risk identification and avoidance.
