DESCRIPTION:With funding from the National Science Foundation\, Research on
  Disabilities in Education researchers Eileen Trauth (Penn State Universit
 y) and K.D. Joshi (Washington State University) have conducted a survey of
  a very important population of persons with disabilities: military servic
 e members and veterans. The purpose of this survey was to understand barri
 ers affecting information technology (IT) career choice for persons who ha
 ve acquired disabilities through military service. The results of this sur
 vey will add to the body of knowledge about issues affecting underrepresen
 ted individuals in the IT field. The results will also enable educators an
 d counselors to better advise service members and veterans. In her present
 ation Dr. Trauth will discuss the findings from this study overall and pro
 vide with respect to 糖心原创 respondents. Following her formal remark
