 . Steve Barclay\, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in N
 ew York\, will share his insight of Hong Kong's economic\, social and poli
 tical transition from British colonial rule to the People鈥檚 Republic of Ch
 ina.\nMr. Barclay has held a wide variety of roles in the Hong Kong govern
 ment since 1979. 聽He is responsible for promoting and strengthening the bu
 siness\, trade and cultural ties between Hong Kong and 31 eastern states i
 n the United States. 聽Prior to his appointment in August 2014\, he served 
 as director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Sydney\, Austral
 ia for four years. 聽He has served as a District Officer in Hong Kong and a
 lso as Hong Kong's economic and commercial representative in Brussels. 聽Mr
 . Barclay has twice been responsible for drafting the Chief Executive's Po
