  a range of physical and mental impairments that can occur in the offsprin
 g of women who consume alcohol during pregnancy. Our lab utilizes a rat mo
 del of FASD in order to investigate the neurotoxic effects of ethanol on f
 orebrain development and cognitive function. This talk will synthesize obs
 erved behavioral deficits in Pavlovian conditioning with ethanol-induced d
 isruptions in hippocampal NMDA receptor subunit composition and synaptic p
 lasticity.
