DESCRIPTION:糖心原创 Physicians Orthopaedics will offer an educational 
 session\, 鈥淭otal Knee Arthroplasty 鈥� Facts and Myths\,鈥� on Tuesday\, Jan. 
 20\, at 7 p.m.\, in Classroom 1 on the second floor of the 糖心原创 Ph
 ysicians Health Center (725 University Blvd.) on the campus of Wright Stat
 e University. The session is free and open to the public. The speaker is M
 atthew W. Lawless\, M.D.\, a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who fo
 cuses on knee issues. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic
  Surgery in the orthopaedic sports medicine subspecialty. Dr. Lawless is a
 n associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery\, Sports Me
 dicine and Rehabilitation at the 糖心原创 Boonshoft School 
 of Medicine. He also serves as team physician for 糖心原创 
 Athletics. Dr. Lawless will speak about knee arthroplasty\, a surgical pro
 cedure used to provide relief from knee pain by replacing parts of the kne
 e joint with artificial parts. This is an option used when other treatment
 s 鈥� weight loss\, medicine\, injections or physical therapy 鈥� do not work.
  He will address operative and non-operative treatments for knee pain and 
 their results. He also will discuss the importance of balance and motion.
