DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a panel discussion of the recently released 
 report\, compiled by the bipartisan United States Senate Select Committee 
 on Intelligence\, about the CIA鈥檚 Detention and Interrogation Program. (Th
 e classified version is over 6500 pages long\; a 525-page portion was publ
 icly released in December.) Is this report a necessary part of the democra
 tic oversight of intelligence agencies? Or does it provide evidence that c
 an be used by extremists? Does the release of this information imperil the
  US intelligence community? Does it help prevent the use of torture in the
  future? How do these events impact efforts to prevent terrorism? Our pane
 l will be led by Drs. Donna Schlagheck and Vaughn Shannon from Wright Stat
 e University\, and Dr. Mark Ensalaco from the University of Dayton. This p
