Dr. Beagle’s researc h focuses on heterocyclic synthesis of organic molecules with application in green and pharmaceutical chemistry. She worked in the pharmaceutical in dustry for over 5 years\, where she gained a unique insight of the process of drug discovery and development. After returning to academia\, my group ’s research focused on the synthesis of new organic materials which can be applied in dye-sensitized solar cells\, and others which can lead to the elimination of transition metal contamination from reaction mixtures and e nvironmental samples. Furthermore\, my group is involved in many collabora tive efforts\, where we continue the custom synthesis of biologically acti ve molecules.Event Webpage: https://science-math.wright.edu/chemistry/semi nars DTSTART;TZID=America/New_York:20180316T153000 DTEND;TZID=America/New_York:20180316T163000 LAST-MODIFIED:20180312T184504Z LOCATION:165 Brehm Laboratory SUMMARY:Chemistry Seminar: 'Green Chemistry: a Path toward Sustainability\, ' URL;TYPE=URI:/events/chemistry-seminar-green-chemistr y-path-toward-sustainability END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
