DESCRIPTION:This fall\, the English department\, in conjunction with CELIA\
 , is hosting an exciting conference on the tenth anniversary of the Dayton
  Literary Peace prize. This event features smart\, lively talks by experts
  such as John Beckman\, the Prize's co-founder Sharon Rab\, and critically
 -acclaimed writers Bob Shacochis and Karima Bennoune. These innovative spe
 akers will deliver TED-style talks that respond to the question\, “How can
  great literature help us reduce conflict and find peace?” There will also
  be a peace-oriented photography exhibit\, organized by Dr. Ben Montague o
 f the Department of Art and presented at the Stein gallery.\n \nAlmost all
  of the prize winners have some relation to political issues. The conferen
 ce is free and open to the public\, but attendees must register in advance
