 results of an academic transition success initiative at a small private li
 beral arts college. Launch was a pre-Welcome Week adventure retreat\, in A
 ugust of 2015 and again 2016\, aimed at student populations who have tradi
 tionally experienced lower retention rates at our college. Through Launch\
 , we sought to provide social and academic strategies for these students\,
  with the hope of improving their retention to their second year. This web
