Tyler was 1 of 10 students selected from around the country to partici pate on the excavation of a 700 year old Native American village\, where h e encountered man-made mounds\, fortification structures\, pottery\, anima l remains\, and projectile points (arrowheads). As part of the NSF fellows hip\, he is conducting research to investigate regional warfare using the projectile points and the blood residues within them. Tyler will present t he research in November at the Midwest Archaeological Conference in Milwau kee\, Wisconsin\, but will be giving us a preview of this research at the event.
