 rst come first serve!!!What is SADE?: Dr. Williams is the executive direct
 or of Discovery Lab - Global (DLG) and will be presenting on DLG's Summer-
 at-Discovery's-Edge (SADE) program and the projects planned for this summe
 r in Artificial Intelligence\, Telepresence Robotics\, Engineering of 3D P
 rinted Drones\, Virtual Reality\, Wearable Technologies\, and Cybersecurit
 y. Discovery Lab - Global (DLG) grew out of an Air Force research internsh
 ip program that Dr. Williams ran for 10 years as the founding director bef
 ore retiring to continue it philosophically as an independent non-profit e
 ntrepreneurial STEM lab focused on giving college freshmen and sophomores 
 early hands-on experience in a broad range of technology & engineering pro
 jects. DLG uses an open-source 3D virtual reality technology to create a 3
 D virtual summer research campus so that students can participate from hom
 e - even on the hardware electronics projects - as avatars. VR heads are n
 ot required for this program to participate. The program is flex-time / sp
 are-time to allow students to participate around their other summer commit
 ments such as family vacations\, summer jobs\, etc. These projects are tea
 m-centered and designed to be real-world to help further strengthen a stud
 ent's resume and to help clarify future career goals. Dr. Williams is a re
 tired Air Force officer\, former Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) tech
 nical advisor\, former DARPA program manager (www.DARPA.mil)\, and past re
 cipient of the National Engineer of the Year award from an aerospace socie
 ty of 35\,000 members
