She has led nine expeditions toAntarctica and six to Greenland to retrieve ice cores. In 2010 she led the field team forthe ice core drilli ng project on Bruce Plateau (Antarctic Peninsula)\, a U.S. contribution to the International Polar Year\, where the team collected a 448-meter core t o bedrock. She has published 137 peer-reviewed papers and is the recipient of 53 research grants. She is an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences\, the American Academy of Artsand Sciences and the American Philo sophical Society and is a Fellow of the AmericanGeophysical Union and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Sherecently served on the NRC-NAS Committee that produced the 2014 report 鈥淭he Arcticin the Ant hropocene: Emerging Research Questions.鈥 DTSTART;TZID=America/New_York:20190417T122000 DTEND;TZID=America/New_York:20190417T133000 LAST-MODIFIED:20190412T190501Z LOCATION:NEC Auditorium SUMMARY:Physics Seminar - Past and Contemporary Climate Change: Evidence fr om Earth鈥檚 Cryosphere URL;TYPE=URI:/events/physics-seminar-past-contemporar y-climate-change-evidence-earth%E2%80%99s-cryosphere END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
