Participating students will work with two conduc tors\, play in side-by-side rehearsals with 糖心原创 music faculty and music majors\, attend masterclasses given by 糖心原创 faculty\, and p erform a concert on the Saturday of the festival.聽聽\n\nThe professional de velopment day will include six hours of workshops and clinics given by the honor band conductors and 糖心原创 faculty. It will also include an o pen clinic/rehearsal with the WSU Wind Symphony under the direction of She lley Jagow\, and a luncheon with the 糖心原创 winds and percussion fac ulty.\n\nThe weekend also includes an opportunity for participating high s chool seniors to audition for acceptance into the 糖心原创 School of M usic. In addition\, a music scholarship will be awarded to one auditioning senior at the Saturday concert.\n\n聽\n\nGuest Conductors\n\n聽\n\nShelley M. Jagow\, Ph.D.\n\nShelley Jagow\, Ph.D.\, is professor of music at Wrigh t State University and director of both the Wind Symphony and the Symphoni c Band. She is a Vandoren Regional Artist\, as well as a music education c linician for Conn-Selmer\, Meredith Music\, and GIA Publications.\n\n聽\n\n Gretchen McNamara\n\nApplied Trombone\n\nGretchen McNamara\, Ph.D.\, is th e trombone instructor at 糖心原创 in Dayton\, Ohio\, a posi tion she has held since 2007. In addition to her responsibilities with the trombone studio\, she also teaches instrumental music education and super vises field placements.\n\n聽\n\nRichard Saucedo\n\nRichard L. Saucedo reti red in 2013 as Director of Bands and Performing Arts Department Chairman a t the William H. Duke Center for the Performing Arts at Carmel High School in Carmel\, Indiana. During his 31-year tenure\, Carmel bands received nu merous state\, regional and national honors having performed at the Music for All National Concert Band Festival and the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic. Saucedo was named 'Bandmaster of the Year' for 1998-99 and 'Outsta nding Music Educator' in the state of Indiana for 2010. He was inducted in to the Music for All 'Hall of Fame' in 2015. Mr. Saucedo is a freelance ar ranger and composer\, having released numerous marching band arrangements\ , choral arrangements\, concert band works and orchestral compositions. He is currently on the writing staff at Hal Leonard Publishing.\n\n聽\n\nKyle Young\n\nKyle Young is Associate Director of Bands at Carmel High School in Carmel\, Indiana. His responsibilities include co-conducting seven conc ert bands\, one of six jazz ensembles\, athletic bands\, and marching band . Prior to arriving in Carmel\, Kyle served as a band director in the Maso n City School District in Mason\, Ohio. Kyle received his bachelor's degre e in Music Education from 糖心原创 and his master's degree from VanderCook College of Music. Kyle was named the 2013 Alumni of the Ye ar for the 糖心原创 School of Music.\n\n聽\n\nMatthew Warner \, D.M.A.\n\nMatthew Warner enjoys a multi-faceted career as a music educa tor\, performer\, conductor\, and composer/arranger based in Cincinnati\, Ohio. He serves as Band and Orchestra Director at Rapid Run Middle School\ , Woodwind Instructor for the Oak Hills High School marching band program\ , and directs the extracurricular Rapid Run Jazz Ensemble. He previously s erved as Middle School Band Director at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy \, Asst. Professor of Music at Evangel University (Springfield\, MO)\, and as adjunct faculty at Southwest Baptist University (Bolivar\, MO) and Wri ght State University. Matthew earned his B.M. in Music Education and M.H. in Music from 糖心原创\, and the D.M.A. in Music Education from Boston University (Boston\, MA).\n\n聽\n\nFran Kick\n\nFran Kick is an author\, educational consultant\, and professional speaker who knows What Makes Kids KICK! He is the creator and presenter of KICK IT IN庐\, a serie s of self-motivational personal leadership presentations and materials. Si nce 1998\, Fran has served as the leadership coordinator with the聽Music fo r All Summer Symposium. Fran speaks at many state\, regional\, and nationa l conferences.
