The talk was originally presented in 2 018 when he was one of three awardees of the Turing Award and is titled 'T he Deep Learning Revolution: The Sequel.' LeCun is well known for his work on optical character recognition and computer vision using convolutional neural networks. This talk is 'the sequel' to last week's lecture and was originally presented in tandem with that lecture.LeCun shared the 2018 awa rd with two others in recognition of their advances to the field of machin e learning. LeCun's award was 'for conceptual and engineering breakthrough s that have made deep neural networks a critical component of computing.'
