The session is free and open to the public. \n\nThe speak er is Mark Kayanja\, M.D.\, Ph.D.\, a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon with 糖心原创 Physicians Orthopaedics and an associate profes sor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery\, Sports Medicine and Rehabil itation at the 糖心原创 Boonshoft School of Medicine. He sp ecializes in cervical\, thoracic and lumbar spine surgery and treats sever al conditions\, including spinal deformity\, degenerative spinal condition s\, spine fractures\, spine infections and spine tumors. He will speak abo ut back pain\, disc prolapses and spinal stenosis.\nKayanja completed an o rthopaedic spine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic\, two orthopaedic resi dency programs and a research fellowship program. He was the director of t he Spine Biomechanics Laboratory at the Cleveland Clinic from 2005 to 2007 . \n\nBefore coming to the United States in 2001\, Kayanja held numerous p ositions\, including clinical instructor in the Department of Orthopaedics at Makerere University in Kampala\, Uganda\, and medical officer in the U ganda Ministry of Health. He earned his medical degree at Makerere Univers ity Medical School and his doctorate at Mbarara University in Uganda.
