After a year in business, Tumble, an on-demand laundry and dry-cleaning service, has no plans to fold, except your clothes.

Tumble co-owners Jeffrey Caldwell II, who is pursuing his at ����ԭ�� and Charles Wheeler were the winners of 2021 Wright Venture, the annual student entrepreneur competition hosted by the .

“The experience with Wright Venture really helped us actually realize that our business could be more than just an idea, it could be an actuality,” said Caldwell.

As winners of the competition, Caldwell and Wheeler received $5,000 in startup funds, which they invested in marketing materials and new branded bags to transport clients’ laundry.

“Without ����ԭ��, we wouldn’t have been able to get our first $5,000 to help build this project and go even further,” said Caldwell.

Tumble offers two pickup and delivery services within a 15-mile radius of downtown Dayton: dry cleaning and a wash, dry and fold laundry service.

“We are hitting a lot of communities, and we’re making sure everyone has clean clothes,” said Caldwell.

The business has seen a steady increase in customers over the past 12 months. “Charles and I know plenty of people that are willing and able to jump in and help us out with orders,” said Caldwell.

The business has relied on Caldwell’s education at ����ԭ�� to grow and keep on track. Caldwell and Wheeler often put into practice ideas and lessons that Caldwell learned in the MBA program, Wheeler said.
