 aining aims to provide faculty and staff with the resources and knowledge 
 needed to serve military and veteran population of students. Through the f
 irst program\, faculty will gain an understanding and perspective of the m
 ilitary-connected students’ experience. Student veterans come from a wide 
 variety of backgrounds\, yet share a powerful identity shaping experience 
 that creates cultural norms dissimilar from the civilian population. The p
 rogram will introduce faculty to the unique veteran and military student r
 elated issues\, debunk myths\, and provide an overview of resources for mi
 litary-connected students\, including those offered by the WSU Veteran and
  Military Center.
