����ԭ��’s Department of Public Safety hosted the third annual Trunk or Treat event.

Twenty-seven ����ԭ�� and community organizations decorated vehicles and passed out candy to trick-or-treaters, including ����ԭ�� athletic teams, the Student Government Association, Dunbar Library, ����ԭ�� Police Department, Fairborn Fire Department, Ohio State Patrol, Huber Heights police, Dayton police and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

“I definitely enjoy events like these,” said Chad Oleyar, ����ԭ�� police sergeant. “We are here for the kids today.”

Almost 400 Mini University preschoolers and their parents made the short walk to participate in the event.

“I think it’s a great way to get all of the community out,” said Hannah Layton, a sophomore marketing major who participated with her sorority sisters. “It just brings everyone happiness.”

The Trunk or Treat event is part of an ongoing relationship between Mini University and ����ԭ�� police officers, who often read books to children at the school. The department wanted to organize a fun activity for the kids and allow them to interact with ����ԭ�� students and public safety staff.

“It’s a very safe and fun event,” said Kurt Holden, director of public safety, who dressed up as Wolverine and invited his family to pass out candy. “We are having a blast.”
