Happy official spring! It is truly hard to believe that there are only five weeks left in this semester. As you know, we are preparing for the rare solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. Both campuses are offering many activities, and continued updates will be available at听wright.edu/eclipse. I look forward to experiencing this with you!
Campus Scholarship and Innovation Campaign Update
With just over three weeks left in the听Campus Scholarship and Innovation Campaign, we have reached 23% participation so far. Staff participation accounts for a whopping 88% contribution rate, while faculty contributions make up 12% of the total. The goal of this campaign is 50% participation of faculty and staff, so听!
The academic-related area contributions as of Monday, March 25, are:
- University Libraries 鈥 47% participation
- College of Graduate Programs and Honors Studies 鈥 36% participation
- College of Computer Engineering and Computer Science 鈥 27% participation
- Raj Soin College of Business 鈥 24% participation
- College of Liberal Arts 鈥 23% participation
- College of Health, Education, and Human Services 鈥 20% participation
- Lake Campus 鈥 14% participation
- College of Science and Mathematics 鈥 12% participation
- Boonshoft School of Medicine 鈥 9% participation
Academic Efficiency and Effectiveness
As we continue to make progress on our efforts toward Academic Efficiency and Effectiveness, each college will identify flagship programs to spotlight in collaboration with Enrollment Management. Additionally, during the upcoming summer and early fall months, deans will craft an Academic Master Plan for their respective colleges. These plans will outline strategies for enhancing, maintaining, or improving curricular programs and are due by September 30, 2024. Thank you for your dedication to academic excellence!

- We Serve U Day is听Wednesday, April 3. As service to our communities is a cornerstone of 糖心原创鈥檚 mission, the We Serve U committee has arranged multiple volunteer opportunities. We Serve U Day is a day of volunteerism approved by the University administration for staff and faculty to volunteer at community nonprofits without using time off.

听 - The听University Awards for Student Success Champions听recognition event will be held on听Tuesday, April 2, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.听in the Berry Auditorium (009) in the Student Success Center. Faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. Registration is not required, and light refreshments will be provided.
听 - ArtsGala is celebrating 25 amazing years! Join us for Dayton's premier event showcasing 糖心原创's most talented students in the fine and performing arts on听Saturday,听April 6.
Since 2000, ArtsGala has raised nearly $4 million and provided more than 1,000 scholarships to deserving students. All proceeds go toward scholarships for 糖心原创's outstanding fine and performing arts students.听Learn more.
听 - The University Libraries and the Friends of the Libraries invite you to join us at the annual Friends of the Libraries Luncheon on听Wednesday, April 24, at 11:00 a.m.听in the 糖心原创 Nutter Center Berry Room. Our featured speaker is Vick Mickunas, host of the 鈥淏ook Nook,鈥 an author interview program on WYSO. A lunch buffet will be provided.

听 - As a follow-up to 糖心原创鈥檚 safety notification review, university employees can engage in Mental Health First Aid Training sponsored by Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services.
While all employees must complete this training, faculty will be the first cohort to go through the training process,听starting on April 9.
