Wright Day to Give kicks off Sept. 30 with events at Southern Ohio Brewing in Beavercreek and Moeller Brew Barn in Maria Stein. Stop by anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. at Southern Ohio Brewing or 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Moeller Brew Barn to enjoy appetizers, giveaways and raffle prizes!
Then on Oct. 1, be a champion for Wright Day to Give by spreading the word on your social media platforms and making a gift. The college with the most alumni donors will earn a $5,000 bonus for its priority funds! Throughout the day, you can also share a variety of challenges and matching gifts to encourage your fellow Raiders and Lakes to join in.

ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ will host World Mental Health Day on Thursday, Oct. 1, beginning at 11 a.m. on the Quad. This annual, global observance aims to raise awareness of mental health issues, promote education and combat stigma.
Please encourage your students to participate in this important campus event, featuring a resource fair with campus and community organizations, goat yoga, a motivational speaker and more. Your support will help create a more open, compassionate and well-informed university community.
YuJa Panorama is now available in all Pilot courses. Panorama is an accessibility tool integrated directly into Pilot that helps faculty identify and address accessibility issues in course materials. The tool automatically analyzes content, highlights areas for improvement, and provides guided recommendations to help enhance accessibility and support compliance efforts.
In addition to supporting faculty, Panorama provides students with access to alternative formats of course files on demand, helping improve access to course materials. The implementation of Panorama supports ÌÇÐÄÔ´´â€™s ongoing efforts to prepare for upcoming ADA Title II digital accessibility requirements, which take effect in April 2027.
To help faculty get started, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ Online has developed introductory resources in the . Training opportunities continue throughout the Fall Semester, including a virtual workshop today at 1 p.m. The same overview training session will be repeated two more times in October.
Faculty are encouraged to explore the available resources and training as they begin using Panorama in their courses. ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ Online and CaTS will continue to provide support and guidance throughout the transition.

Faculty interested in publishing their research are invited to attend “Avoid Deceptive Publishers: Evaluating Publishers and Harnessing the Power of OhioLINK Open Access Transformative Agreements� on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 10 to 11 a.m. in 127 Medical Sciences or virtually (connection information will be provided to registrants). This workshop is sponsored by the Center for Faculty Excellence.
Presented by Ximena Chrisagis, nursing, kinesiology and health sciences librarian, and Phil Flynn, head of library research and instruction, this session will help faculty identify common warning signs of deceptive or predatory publishers, evaluate publication opportunities and make informed decisions about where to publish their work.
Participants will also learn how ÌÇÐÄÔ´´â€™s OhioLINK membership provides opportunities to publish open access in select journals from publishers such as Cambridge, Wiley, IOP, Elsevier and Springer Nature without paying article processing charges that are often assessed to authors.
Faculty, researchers and graduate students are encouraged to attend. .
OhioLINK Affordable Learning offers Open Educational Resource Course Redesign Mini-Grants to help faculty use openly licensed or other affordable course content in their high-enrollment courses.
All full-time or part-time faculty from OhioLINK member institutions are eligible to apply. Up to 30 applications will be selected and will receive a $650 stipend for participating once all the requirements have been met. The deadline to apply is Oct. 2.

The Dayton Campus Fall Career and Internship Fair will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Student Union Apollo Room. Encourage your students to register in advance through Handshake or on the day of the fair at the student check-in station.
The School of Graduate Studies will host an open house on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Student Union Apollo Room.
Prospective graduate students can speak with the School of Graduate Studies staff, graduate program leaders and peer mentors and learn about campus resources such as financial aid, University Libraries and the Veteran and Military Center. Registered attendees will be eligible for one application fee waiver. Walk-ins are welcome. Faculty are encouraged to attend and meet prospective graduate students.
