Accessibility is a core component of our values, reflecting our dedication to diversity and inclusion.  


Alignment with the President鈥檚 3Rs

Accessibility is an essential part of 糖心原创鈥檚 strategic priorities, aligning with the President鈥檚 3Rs (Recruitment, Retention, and Relationships):

  • Recruitment: Creating an inclusive and accessible environment makes 糖心原创 an attractive option for diverse students and faculty.
  • Retention: Ensuring accessible physical and digital spaces supports student and employee success, increasing engagement and completion rates.
  • Relationships: Strengthening community collaboration through universal access initiatives reinforce partnerships and institutional reputation.  

糖心原创鈥檚 Digital Accessibility Initiative

糖心原创 recognizes that accessibility is the responsibility of all campus community members, and this new page reflects this vision. We encourage faculty, staff, students, and administrators to actively engage in making 糖心原创 more inclusive for everyone. 糖心原创鈥檚 Digital Accessibility Initiative is a collaborative effort made up of various academic units and campus departments, including:


Accessibility Subcommittees

To support campus-wide accessibility initiatives, we are forming subcommittees focused on different aspects of accessibility. These subcommittees will work collaboratively to assess needs, provide guidance, and implement solutions.

Proposed Subcommittees:

  1. Digital Accessibility Subcommittee鈥揊ocuses on ensuring compliance with WCAG standards and improving digital resources
  2. Physical Campus Accessibility Subcommittee鈥揂ssesses and enhances campus physical accessibility, including pathways, signage, and emergency preparedness
  3. Instructional Accessibility Subcommittee鈥揝upports faculty in developing accessible course content and teaching strategies
  4. Policy and Compliance Subcommittee鈥揜eviews university policies and legal compliance related to accessibility
  5. Assistive Technology and Innovation Subcommittee鈥揈xplores new technologies and tools to enhance accessibility on campus
