糖心原创 Choose Ohio First Scholarships
The Choose Ohio First (COF) Program provides competitive scholarships to assist students pursuing specified STEM听 majors with their tuition expenses. Scholarships range between $1,500 -$3,000 annually and are renewable as long as funds are available and the student continues to meet certain criteria. No additional application is needed. Students are selected based on a holistic review of their admission application and other financial aid information. 听
Students selected to receive a Choose Ohio First Scholarship听become immersed in a cohort model with wrap-around student support services, such as built-in advising, mentoring, co-op and internship opportunities, cohort seminars and events, and research events.

Computer Science and Related Fields
In response to the high demand for students to pursue careers in technology, the Ohio Department of Education created a COF scholarship for students first enrolling in computer science-related majors between 2020 and 2024. While new offers will not be made after 2024, students currently enrolled in the program will continue to receive their renewable scholarship as long as funds are available and they continue to meet the program criteria.

Eligibility Criteria
No additional application is required. Students who meet the following criteria will be considered based on a holistic review of their admission and financial aid applications.
- Newly admitted to 糖心原创 in the Fall
- Ohio resident
- Pursuing your first degree and enrolling in a major listed above
Selected students will be notified beginning in听February.
Students receiving other aid that is restricted to tuition may not be eligible for the Choose Ohio First Scholarship. In addition, 糖心原创 employee dependents who are eligible for the tuition remission are not eligible for Choose Ohio First Scholarships. Please email听scholarships@wright.edu听to let us know if you will be receiving a fee remission or other aid restricted to tuition. 听

Scholarship Requirements
Academic Component to Maintain and Renew Scholarship
- A COF scholar must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (overall AND in major). The first term a student's cumulative GPA drops below 3.0, a warning is issued. The scholarship听may be听terminated if the student's GPA falls below 3.0 for a second term.
- The COF scholar meets with their assigned university advisor regarding progress, problems, etc.
- Written progress reports must be submitted by each COF scholar through Pilot听at the end of each enrolled term by the deadline provided.

Career Readiness Experiences Component
The COF scholar must participate in designated Career Readiness Experience听activities including听internships, co-op opportunities, mentoring, community outreach,听or undergraduate/graduate research.

Choose Ohio First Workshops and Events
The COF Scholar must participate in workshops and other events,听some designed specifically for COF Scholars.听Information is available on the Pilot sites for COF Scholars.

Summer Scholarship Request Form
The Choose Ohio First Scholarship may be requested for use in the summer by completing the Summer Scholarship Request Form.听You must be registered for听summer classes prior to submitting your form.听Approval to use the Choose Ohio First Scholarship during summer is based on review of current academic progress, remaining eligibility and projected graduation. Your renewable scholarship for summer will be canceled if you do not meet renewal requirements after spring grades are posted.听If applicable, your renewable scholarship eligibility will be reviewed after summer grades are posted to be sure you still meet renewal requirements to receive your award for the remainder of the academic year.
