A growing number of courses are being taught in the computer-rich classrooms of the Student Success Center (SSC). 听Many of these courses were听designed using the听principles of听student-centered, active-learning pedagogy. 听 Faculty teaching these courses may be convinced that they promote student engagement, but how do听students experience them? 听How do the courses' undergraduate Learning Assistants understand the challenges and rewards of learning in digital classrooms? 听
The purpose of this roundtable is to discuss student perspectives on active-learning courses听taught in the Student Success Center. 听Diverse faculty and Learning Assistants will briefly share what they know about听student perspectives on听these听courses. 听 Their presentations will be followed by a generous period of questions and answers.听 The roundtable should be of interest to faculty currently teaching in the SSC, as well as faculty听considering redesigning their course(s) to take advantage of the classrooms in the SSC.听
