Wright Brothers Day celebrated the 111th anniversary of Wilbur Wright’s 39-minute flight on Huffman Prairie on Oct. 5, 1905. The flight demonstrated that the Wright brothers had advanced their design to the point of a practical airplane.

“It’s a fun way to gather ����ԭ�� students and the general public to honor the Wright brothers’ legendary venture into flight,” said Aleasiah Howard, a junior marketing major and president of the .

The event also featured displays highlighting innovative projects from ����ԭ�� researchers and local organizations.

This was the sixth year for the event. It was held in the Student Union Atrium and was organized by the marketing association.
