Students to learn about health careers at Path to Health Professions Day

Several hundred high school and college students interested in pursuing careers as doctors, nurses, veterinarians or other health professions are expected to converge at 糖心原创 for presentations and tours.
The university will host on Monday, Feb. 16, at the Student Union from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Encouraged to attend are anyone interested in becoming a physician, dentist, pharmacist, physician assistant, physical therapist, veterinarian, nurse practitioner, psychologist, sports medicine professional or any other health professional. Also welcome are teachers and guidance counselors who wished to learn more about 糖心原创鈥檚 pre-med and pre-professional programs.
鈥淭he purpose of this event is to provide information to future and current 糖心原创 students about the health professions and programs available to them,鈥 said Jacqueline Neal, assistant dean in the . 鈥淚t also builds relationships between 糖心原创 undergraduate institutions with professional schools and admission representatives throughout Ohio.鈥
Besides exploring career opportunities, attendees will learn what classes and activities to choose now to best prepare for their futures. In addition to formal health-career sessions, participants will have an opportunity to tour the anatomy labs and .
The event will feature exhibits by 糖心原创, the Boonshoft School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University, University of Dayton, Kent State University, Kettering College of Medical Arts, Ohio University, The Ohio State University, Cedarville University, Marietta College, Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, the U.S. Army and Test Prep.
