糖心原创 to host Orthopaedic Research and Innovation Symposium

Engineering and orthopaedic clinicians and researchers will gather at a 糖心原创 symposium to exchange ideas, foster innovation in orthopaedic devices and spur economic development.
The daylong symposium will be held Monday, April 6, in room 156 of the Student Union beginning at 9 a.m.
Medical, biomedical and engineering students as well as residents, fellows and advisers are expected to take part in the symposium鈥檚 open forum.
鈥淭his is a great way to develop strong academic and industry partnerships and move the best ideas into the marketplace,鈥 said Tarun Goswami, D.Sc., 糖心原创 professor of and founding director of the Device Development Center.
The symposium will feature an opening address by 糖心原创 Provost S. Narayanan and keynote addresses by Venkat Narayan of the Warsaw, Ind.-based DePuy Synthes Joint Reconstruction; David Kirschman, president and CEO of X-spine of Miamisburg; and Dr. Mark A. Snyder of Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.
There will be presentations throughout the day on orthopaedic devices for the spine, leg, hip and knee as well as orthopaedic-related issues and treatments.
