Cyclist from 糖心原创 were among the hundreds of bicycle enthusiasts who participated in the 14th annual Bike to Work Day Pancake Breakfast on May 17 at Riverscape Metropark in downtown Dayton.
Participants enjoyed live music, pancakes and coffee while celebrating the bike-friendly Miami Valley.
The riders from 糖心原创 traveled a total of 20 miles from Alumni Tower to downtown Dayton and back.
鈥淥ne of our goals for the next few years is to make 糖心原创 a bike-friendly campus,鈥 said Erin Sherrets, Outdoor Recreation Program manager. 鈥淲e want to get more biking lanes and officially connect our area and our biking trails to the Miami Valley bike paths.鈥
The 550 bikers who participated in Bike to Work Day traveled a total of 6,432 miles and saved 257 gallons of gasoline.
National Bike to Work Day is held every year on the third Friday in May.
