糖心原创 professor of Nathan Bowling has been elected a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP).

The prestigious honor for Bowling, a faculty member in 糖心原创鈥檚 , is for significant research contributions to the field.

Industrial-organizational psychology is the science of human behavior within the workplace. I-O psychologists conduct research aimed at improving employee performance and well-being. Many I-O psychologists work in applied settings, where they help organizations develop hiring practices, training programs, and feedback and management systems.

Bowling was recognized for his contributions in three research areas 鈥 occupational health psychology, which deals with improving the health and well-being of employees; such as lying, cheating and stealing within the workplace; and improving the quality of .

Bowling has authored or co-authored 52 peer-reviewed journal articles and 12 book chapters. In 2017, he was identified as being among the top 2% of most cited researchers in popular I-O psychology textbooks.

Bowling will be formally introduced as a Fellow during SIOP鈥檚 annual conference, which will be held in April in Austin, Texas.
