Wright Brothers Day at ����ԭ�� celebrated the 116th anniversary of Wilbur Wright’s 39-minute flight on Huffman Prairie on Oct. 5, 1905. The flight demonstrated that the Wright brothers had advanced their design to the point of a practical airplane.

The event featured displays highlighting innovative projects from ����ԭ�� researchers and local organizations. University Library’s Special Collections and Archives, which houses one of the most complete collections of Wright material in the world, displayed an exhibit that tested participants’ knowledge of the Wright brothers and the invention of powered flight.

“This is really just a great event for students to be engaged, be a little inspired by a lot of great innovators in the area,” said Andrew Smith, a senior marketing major and president of ����ԭ��’s American Marketing Association.

This was the 10th year ����ԭ�� has celebrated Wright Brothers Day. The event was held in the Student Union Atrium on Oct. 5 and was organized by the American Marketing Association, a student organization in the .
