糖心原创鈥檚 International Education Week featured a flurry of activities and programming including the popular Study Abroad Fair and a fashion show on Nov. 4 in the Student Union Atrium.
The fair provided students with information about how to travel overseas while earning credit toward their degree. Currently, 糖心原创 offers 60 study abroad programs.
Students who attended the fair took the opportunity to meet with professors leading ambassador programs and connected with financial aid advisors about study abroad scholarships.
鈥溙切脑 is very global,鈥 said Joy Wanderi, associate director of the University Center for International Education. 鈥淲e have students from all over the world and we are excited to share this.鈥
Wanderi said students who choose to study abroad grow as a person, have more career choices, tend to have better grades and are often in demand when they graduate.
鈥淢ost employers are looking for well-rounded students,鈥 added Wanderi.
Students and UCIE staff also participated in an international fashion show during the fair. Native clothing and styles from a dozen countries were modeled on stage at the event.
Attendees were also treated to music, snacks, games, prizes and henna tattoos.
