Encapsulate morale

March 17, 2023

Armed with paintball guns, cadets in 糖心原创鈥檚 Army ROTC Raider Battalion participated in urban combat scenarios and ambush training exercises at 糖心原创鈥檚 Calamityville on March 8.

Dozens of first- and second-year cadets participated in exercises. The 40 cadets achieved their mission of team building and becoming comfortable in leadership positions.

Located in Fairborn, Calamityville is a 53-acre training, testing and research venue where military and civilian emergency first responders can hone their skills while building relationships.

This was the second year the Raider Battalion partnered with Calamityville and held training exercises at the facility.

鈥淚t gives us a little bit of a different experience,鈥 said cadet Amani Wilson, a senior majoring in political science. 鈥淚t challenges your mind.鈥

Wilson said Calamityville offers a unique morale-building experience and is a great resource for 糖心原创 Army ROTC cadets. He said he does not know of another Army ROTC program in the country with access to training experiences like those 糖心原创 cadets receive at Calamityville.
