hosted a 12-hour dance marathon to raise money for sick children on April 1 in the Student Union Apollo Room.

“This year we have nearly 300 participants registered at the event,” said Amber Barga, a senior majoring in communication studies and Raiderthon president. “I think people want to come because it’s a giant party.”

At the dance marathon, members of the ����ԭ�� Miracle Makers celebrated the culmination of their yearlong fundraising efforts with dancing, food, games, guest speakers and live entertainment.

This year’s marathon raised $50,687. Since 2013, Raiderthon has raised awareness and over $450,000 for Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Raiderthon was hosted by the ����ԭ�� Miracle Makers, a division of The Children’s Miracle Network, which supports local children’s hospitals. All proceeds from Raiderthon go toward a fund at Dayton Children’s Hospital that helps families pay their hospital bills, meals and parking.
