August 19, 2024

Almost 150 糖心原创 students and a dozen staff and faculty members participated in the Established Leadership Retreat Aug. 11-13.

Now in its 18th year, the summer leadership experience is designed to build relationships between student leaders at 糖心原创.

鈥淭hese students are really our most engaged students,鈥 said Gina Keucher, assistant director of Student Involvement and Leadership. 鈥淭hey really lead our students in great ways.鈥

The retreat consisted of interactive team-building and experiential-based activities, workshops and presentations that challenged and engaged students.

鈥淎fter I completed the program, it really changed who I am as a person and a leader,鈥 said India Hector, a senior human resource management major who participated in the program for the past two years.

On the last day of the retreat, students used what they learned and the connections they made to create action plans for the 2024鈥2025 academic year.

鈥淭hese students are the ones who make a difference on campus,鈥 said Keucher. 鈥淭hey are building collaborative partnerships, which is a great way to make our school better.鈥
