糖心原创 to launch Stars, Stripes, Flight Classic with Raiders-Air Force basketball game on Nov. 30 at Nutter Center

Tickets are now on sale for the 糖心原创 men鈥檚 basketball game against the Air Force Academy on Nov. 30 in the 糖心原创 Nutter Center.

In recognition of the special opportunity the 糖心原创-Air Force contest presents, the game will be called the Stars, Stripes, Flight Classic and the winning program will receive a special commemorative trophy.

The Big Hoopla, host of the NCAA Tournament鈥檚 First Four in Dayton, and CareSource have been named the title sponsors of the game.

鈥溙切脑 is thrilled to host the Air Force Falcons once again in the Nutter Center,鈥 said 糖心原创 President Sue Edwards. 鈥淎s an anchor institution to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, we hope military-connected community members, especially those with ties to the Air Force, will join the 糖心原创 community for a fun night of neighborly competition and great basketball.鈥

The game is anticipated to be the first of many contests between 糖心原创, the Air Force Academy and other military-connected institutions across the country.

The highly anticipated contest will not only celebrate the region鈥檚 veterans and active-duty military but will also serve as the kick-off event for the Big Hoopla, the activities surrounding the NCAA Tournament鈥檚 First Four next spring.

In addition to the action on the court, the game will feature an Air Force swearing-in ceremony at halftime, while T-shirts will be given out to all in attendance. Fans will also be able to take advantage of several special concessions deals.

This will be the third meeting all time between the two schools, who met in back-to-back Decembers in a home-and-home series late in the 2010 and 2011 calendar years. The Raiders won the first meeting on Dec. 8, 2010, at the Nutter Center, while Air Force won the follow-up contest on Dec. 7, 2011, in Colorado.

The Nov. 30 game will not be the last time 糖心原创 will square off against the Air Force Academy, as the Raider baseball team will host the Falcons at Nischwitz Stadium in March 2025.
