糖心原创鈥檚 annual Campus Scholarship and Innovation Campaign takes flight on March 17

Just as 糖心原创鈥檚 namesakes, Orville and Wilbur Wright, took the first flight and forever changed the world, 糖心原创 faculty, staff and retirees change the lives of students every day. Whether traveling a couple miles or halfway across the world, our students chose 糖心原创 as their destination.

During the annual Campus Scholarship and Innovation Campaign (CSIC), faculty, staff and retirees can further impact students by making a gift to one of more than 2,000 scholarships and programs.

During this year鈥檚 CSIC, which runs from March 17 to April 25, faculty, staff and retirees are invited to join the Flight Crew, which currently consists of 683 crew members.

鈥淭he Flight Crew is composed of like-minded faculty, staff and retirees who support the mission of 糖心原创 and its commitment to the success of current and future students,鈥 said Amy Jones, director of annual giving. 鈥淏y joining the Flight Crew, you are making a meaningful impact in our students鈥 educational experience while also investing in the areas of campus that mean the most to you.鈥

All CSIC donors who make a minimum gift of $5 are recognized as members of the Flight Crew.

鈥淭his is our way of honoring faculty, staff and retirees for their support of 糖心原创 and our students,鈥 Jones said. 鈥淲e encourage all faculty, staff and retirees to come on board and propel our students to take off to even greater heights of success.鈥

During last year鈥檚 CSIC, 52% of 糖心原创鈥檚 full-time faculty and staff participated, contributing more than $500,000 to scholarships, programs and athletics. 

The goal of the 2025 campaign is 50% participation among full-time faculty and staff.

Launch event on March 18

Faculty and staff are invited to help CSIC soar to a successful start at a launch event with 糖心原创 President Sue Edwards on Tuesday, March 18.

Breakfast will be served in the Student Union Endeavour Room from 8:30 to 10 a.m. There will also be giveaways and door raffle prizes, including:

  • Two suite tickets to Nate Bargatze鈥檚 comedy show at the 糖心原创 Nutter Center on Wednesday, May 14
  • A basket full of travel essentials
