����ԭ�� baseball is gearing up for a high-flying showdown against the Air Force Academy on Tuesday, March 25, at Nischwitz Stadium, as they continue the Stars, Stripes, Flight Classic—a series that first took off in November on the hardwood.

During the game, the matchup will celebrate the region’s veterans and active-duty military and feature a T-shirt giveaway, a food truck and a special joint first pitch featuring ����ԭ�� President Sue Edwards and Col. Dustin Richards, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base commander.

First pitch is set for 5 p.m., and the contest will be streamed on ESPN+.

“We are thrilled to once again host the Air Force Academy and face off on the baseball field,” said Joylynn Brown, director of athletics. “Our partnership with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and strong ties to the military were on full display during the basketball matchup, and we look forward to continuing those relationships with more friendly competition next week.”

This will be the eighth all-time meeting between the two baseball programs, with ����ԭ�� having won each of the prior seven ballgames. The two sides met in a three-game series at The Nisch in March 2006 before the Raiders traveled to Colorado for a four-game series at Air Force in March 2007.

The inaugural game in the Stars, Stripes, Flight Classic attracted 9,672 basketball fans to the Nutter Center on Nov. 30 to watch the Raiders defeat the Air Force Falcons 70-54.

“We are joined at the hip with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base,” Edwards said. “We want to do everything we possibly can to make the men and women at the base feel as though they’re part of our community, and this is just one way which we can acknowledge all the work they do to keep us safe each and every day.”
