Academic AdvisingÌýÌý

Whether you're an incoming first-year student, a student about to graduate with your college degree, or a new transfer student, your ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ academic advisor will help you define and achieve your academic goals. Academic advisors will assist with exploring majors, explain degree requirements and planning, and direct you to university resources.Ìý

Centralized advising at ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ helps you move smoothly into a degree program that fits your interests while pairing you with advisors who understand your potential career path and help you stay on track for graduation.ÌýÌý

University Academic Advising (UAA), through proactive advising and integrated technology, provides you with support designed to guide your progress toward a college degree.Ìý or by calling 937-775-5720 for Dayton Campus or 419-586-0300 for Lake Campus.Ìý

Academic Success CentersÌý

ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´â€™s Academic Success Centers provide individualized and group tutoring in various subjects at no additional cost. We help students become more skilled, confident, and independent learners by offering peer support outside of the classroom.ÌýÌý

TheÌýAcademic Success Centers include Tutoring Services, Peer Academic Coaching, Supplemental Instruction, the Math Learning Center, and the University Writing Center, all conveniently located in 122 Student Success.ÌýÌý

Tutoring Services

Tutoring Services provides one-on-one course-based tutoring in many 1000 and 2000-level courses. You are allowed 1 hour of tutoring each week per available course, in person or online.Ìý

Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a group-based support option assigned to specific high-impact undergraduate courses. If you are enrolled in SI-supported courses, you will be provided information about SI leaders and meeting times during your first week of classes.Ìý

Peer Academic Coaching

Peer academic coaching covers non-course-based learning topics like note taking, time management, getting involved on campus, and exam preparation. You can benefit from working with a peer academic coach. Walk-ins and appointments are welcome in person or online.Ìý

Math Learning Center

TheÌýMath Learning CenterÌý(MLC) allows you to meet with a math tutor on a one-to-one basis for high-demand math and statistics courses. Walk-ins and appointments are welcome in person or online.Ìý

University Writing Center

TheÌýUniversity Writing Center offers one-hour sessions in person, online, or via email feedback. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. Writing coaches can help with any writing, for any course, at any stage of the writing process.ÌýÌý

    The Office of Disability Services (ODS) recognizes disability as an aspect of diversity integral to society and our campus community. Accessibility is an essential feature of the ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ campus, and ODS strives to create an inclusive community for students, faculty, staff, and guests. Over 800 students with ADD/ADHD, learning, medical, physical, and/or psychological disabilities participate in ODS programs.Ìý
