Prior Learning Assessment Policy
The 糖心原创 Faculty Senate adopted a in August 2015 that recognizes that students may acquire knowledge equivalent to that obtained through completion of courses through their professional experience or other methods of instruction.听
Prior knowledge may be demonstrated in three ways:
- Faculty-administered exams
- Faculty-administered portfolios
- External, nationally recognized exams

Application Completion
To complete your PLA application process please choose one of the following听
- Option 1 (Preferred): We recommend having your PLA form completed via DocuSign. Please work with your department administering the PLA to initiate the DocuSign听PLA form.
- Option 2:听If the department is unfamiliar with the DocuSign they can contact the registrar's office or use the DocuSign link or PDF form below.

Faculty-Administered Exams and Portfolios
The other two PLA options are:
- examinations administered internally by 糖心原创 faculty and
- portfolio assessment administered by 糖心原创 faculty.
Either of these options is initiated by completing the听听Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)听form (PDF). The cost for the options is a non-refundable fee of $150. These items must be submitted prior to taking the exam or submitting the portfolio. The PLA must be completed in the same semester in which the fee and PLA form are submitted. Students are able to submit PLA up to two times. There is a $75, non-refundable fee for submitting the second PLA for the same course. 听
Below is the list of PLA options at 糖心原创. The tables are organized by college. Students must demonstrate mastery of the learning outcomes for the 糖心原创 course listed by either exam or portfolio. The contact person, campus address, and campus telephone number are listed for each course. The tables (DOCX) below displaying 糖心原创听courses that are eligible for prior learning assessment may be听downloaded. The tables will be updated annually in July. Changes may occur during the academic year.
