Type of credits accepted

糖心原创 accepts credits from institutionally accredited colleges and universities that were formally accredited by regional accrediting agencies. These institutional accrediting agencies include the Higher Learning Commission, Middle States, New England, Northwest, Southern State, and Western Associations of Colleges and Schools. We also accept courses from international institutions formally recognized by their country's ministry of education or its equivalent. 听 Credits from a domestic, independent college or university, not institutionally accredited by one of the seven accrediting agencies, may be evaluated for transfer credit. 听The institution must be authorized by the Chancellor of the Ohio Department of Higher Education. 听

You can also receive听credit for other types of learning experiences. At 糖心原创, you听can be awarded college credit for prior learning such as military training, experience, and coursework; external credit-by-exams like AP, CLEP, IB, DSST, and Excelsior College Credit by Exams; career-technical courses听and programs through Ohio鈥檚 Career-Technical Assurance Guide听(CTAG) program*; or Industry-Recognized Credential Transfer Assurance Guide (ITAG) program. There are also听opportunities to听demonstrate听your prior learning听through our听exams and听portfolio processes听for certain courses.听

High School Dual Enrollment or Ohio's College Credit Plus (CCP) Students: Your high school counselor can provide you with a list of colleges/universities you attended through the program. Request an official transcript from each of the institutions you enrolled in either at your high school or on a college campus.听

*If you participated in a career-technical program while in high school, don鈥檛 forget to听mark 鈥淵es鈥� on CTAG credit.听If you are not certain if you are eligible for this credit, our Transfer听Team will help you.听

Transfer credit appeal process

All of your transfer credits are officially evaluated and posted once you have been admitted to 糖心原创.听The results of the transfer credit evaluation will show their applicability on the degree audit report.听The degree audit will be available through听.听The next step will be for you to meet and review the degree audit with your academic advisor.听You may find certain courses were not equated to a 糖心原创 course or applied toward a requirement.听In such a case, your advisor will assist you in getting those courses evaluated by the appropriate department; this will require you to provide a copy of the course syllabi for review. After your conversation with your advisor and a department evaluation process, you may still disagree with the results.听听

After going through the process described so far, you may file a transfer credit appeal form听in writing. Your appeal form must be submitted to the Director of University Academic Advising during your first semester at 糖心原创. You will have until the final day of classes in your first semester. If you are a current or returning 糖心原创 student, you must file the appeal form within one semester after the transfer credit evaluation was completed. Appeals will be reviewed by the transfer credit appeal committee. You will receive a response to the appeal within 30 days of the receipt of the appeal.
