News Releases and Publicity

Communications staff write press releases, pitch stories to members of the local, regional, and national media, and staff events when media are expected to attend.

Communications staff write stories for both internal and external audiences that post to the . Most Newsroom content also posts on wright.edu and is shared on university social media channels.

 

Internal Communications

Campus-Wide Emails

Communications staff are responsible for sending critical campus-wide messages on ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Alert, and important updates from university administration and timely notices from ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Police on the Official email list. Access your ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Alert account through WINGS Express under the personal information tab.

Communications staff also send non-emergency campus-wide WINGS emails. Please use WINGS email request form to submit a wings email request.

From investigating invasive species to determining what temperature light makes someone perform at their best, students in the College of Science and Math shared their findings at summer conferences.
ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ welcomed more than 2,400 new and returning residential students to its Dayton Campus for the start of the 2026 Fall Semester.
More than 2,400 students are expected to live on ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´â€™s Dayton Campus this fall, the highest number of on-campus residents in the past 10 years.
