Giving to ÌÇÐÄÔ´´

Foundation and Corporate Giving

For six decades, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ has prepared students of all backgrounds for vibrant careers and livelihoods. Carefully crafted academic programs, combined with practical learning and leadership opportunities, produce outstanding graduates. Committed faculty and wraparound services empower students who might elsewhere be pushed aside to rise to new heights. And a focus on value—the university’s tuition is second lowest in the state—ensures the benefits of higher education are as affordable and accessible as possible.

  • 40% of ÌÇÐÄÔ´´â€™s undergraduate students are Pell-eligible, meaning they display exceptional financial need
  • 30% represent minority backgrounds
  • 21% are the first in their families to attend college.
  • ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ is ranked number one in Ohio for advancing students’ social mobility, meaning the university does more than any other institution in the state to improve graduates’ employability, earning potential, and quality of life
  • Nearly 90% of graduates remain in the 16-county region, taking jobs, creating companies, and contributing to the workforce
  • The accumulated impact of graduates employed in the Raider Country workforce amounts to $2.1 billion, equivalent to supporting 24,590 jobs
  • Each year, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ creates more than $2.3 billion in regional economic activity

The university recently went through an intense period of evaluation to refocus its priorities, raise its standards, and create a stronger operating model better prepared to succeed in the current higher education landscape. As a result, the university is experiencing growing momentum.

  • Enrollment at ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ continues to grow. In contrast to national trends, the number of first-time undergraduate students at ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ increased by 44% over the last three years. The university has carefully refined the curricula needed to connect people to stable careers and workplace success.
  • ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ has attained significant financial stability. ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ was Ohio’s only public university to achieve a perfect financial score in 2023. The university has experienced a budget surplus for four consecutive years.
  • Over the last decade, ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ has made consistent investments—in line with its refocused priorities—to recruit faculty, advance learning, introduce new programs, enhance classrooms, and upgrade technology.
