Academic program reviews are a data-driven process to assess the overall quality and operational health of academic programs. Through this quintennial process, faculty and program leadership are provided the opportunity to consider trends in student learning and success attainment; review policies, processes, and records related to their academic programs; and clarify goals, assess goal achievement, and evaluate future directions. Academic program review is meant to ensure ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ provides distinctive, high-quality programs through serious self-reflection on program strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Â

Academic Year 1 – Program ReviewÂ
- April of spring before academic year – Kick-off meeting with Assessment & AccreditationÂ
- Submit previous year’s outcomes assessment by September 30; an Annual Outcomes Assessment for the current academic year is not requiredÂ
- September, December, February – Quarterly check-in meetingsÂ
- March 1 – Self-study due to the Assurance of Learning Committee for reviewÂ
- March 30 – Assurance of Learning Committee submits their review to the Office of the Provost and copy to the program leadershipÂ
Academic Year 2 – Assessment Planning & Program ModificationÂ
- Submit any identified curricular modifications to be included in the catalog by deadlines set by Office of the RegistrarÂ
- Develop a three-year outcomes assessment planÂ
- Document strategic plan, if createdÂ
- An Annual Outcomes Assessment for this academic year is not requiredÂ
Academic Years 3 through 5Â
- Implement the assessment plan established in Year 2Â
- Annually assess student learning outcomes by September 30 for the previous academic yearÂ
