Recently 糖心原创 students have been the target of email scams containing fake job offers. Below are tips to help recognize these phishing attempts:
- If an email is difficult to read (poor grammar or wording), it is most likely a scam.
- If a job offer seems too good to be true, it most likely is.
- Never accept a job that requires you to deposit checks into your own account, or wire a portion of money from your account.聽
- Read any career offer carefully.
- Banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions will never ask for your account information in an email.聽
- If you think you have been a target of a phishing scam, file a report with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint center here:聽
