If you have a non-persistent (Linked Clone) VDI, remember to save your documents to theÌýnetwork shared driveÌý´Ç°ùÌýOneDrive for BusinessÌýas any data saved on the linked clone will be deleted at logoff.

A VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) provides users with the virtual desktop environmentÌýand applications that best support their business requirements.

Benefits and Key Features
Some examples of how clients can benefit from the VDI service include:
- Secure access to shared resources, such as the shared network H, K, and R drives, digital kiosks, and lab machines
- Dedicated, virtual, and secure desktop environments, with any time, anywhere access

Getting Started
You will need to be enrolled in two-factor authentication to be able to access your VDI either through a Duo push or landline phone call. Read more about two-factor authentication at wright.edu/2fa.

Usage Instructions
Installing the Omnissa Horizon Client for Windows
Go toÌý.
Select the Install Omnissa Horizon ClientÌýbutton.
Click ViewÌýDownload ComponentsÌýnext to Omnissa Horizon Clients.
Click Go to DownloadsÌýnext to Omnissa Horizon Client for Windows.
On the Download ProductÌýpage, click the Download NowÌýbutton in the bottom right corner.
Once the download is complete, open the application.
Click Run.
Follow the prompts to install the client.
ClickÌýFinish.
Open the Omnissa Horizon Client from your Start menu.
Click New Server. The server name is vdi.wright.edu.
Log in with your campus ‘w’ username and password.
You will receive a push notification from Duo.ÌýSelect Approve.
The home screen will open displaying all of your available applications. Double-click an application to open it.
Installing the Omnissa Horizon Client for Macs
Go toÌý.
Select the Install Omnissa Horizon ClientÌýbutton.
Click View Download ComponentsÌýnext to Omnissa Horizon Clients.
Click Go to Downloads next to Omnissa Horizon Client for macOS.
On the Download ProductÌýpage, click the Download Now button in the bottom right corner.
Once the download is complete, open the application.
Click ‘Agree’ to the License Agreement.
Drag the ‘Omnissa Horizon Client’ icon to the ‘Applications’ folder. The client will install in that folder.
Open the Omnissa Horizon Client from your Applications folder.
Click ‘Open’.
Click ‘Continue’.
Click ‘New Server’.
Enter the server name vdi.wright.edu.
Enter your campus username and password.
You will receive a push notification from Duo; click ‘Approve’.
The home screen will open displaying all of your available applications. Double-click an application to open it.
